Description:
Svitjaz (Свитязь) is a classic Soviet-era cigarette pack, produced in Belarus. The pack features a typical design of that era: a white background, diagonal blue and purple stripes, the name in Cyrillic and a heraldic logo in the central part. On different sides of the pack, there are inscriptions in both Russian and Belarusian ("Сигареты с фильтром" / "Цыгарэты з фильтрам"), which indicates production during the Byelorussian SSR. The class of cigarettes is designated as "первый класс" (first class), which meant higher quality tobacco.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: Medium–high. This pack is not widely distributed on the international market, so it may be of interest to collectors interested in Soviet tobacco production or Belarusian themes.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, in excellent condition, with authentic wrapping preserved, which is extremely important when evaluating vintage soft packs.
-
Historical data and popularity: This type of package was often local and not exported, so its value today is due to its limited availability. Svitjaz is not one of the most famous brands of the USSR, but its rarity gives it additional value.
