Description:
This cigarette pack "Abkhazia" (Russian: Абхазия, Georgian: აფზათეთი) was produced during the Soviet Union, most likely in Georgia, in the autonomous republic of Abkhazia. The front and back sides depict an image of palm trees and a sanatorium building, conveying the subtropical resort image of Abkhazia. The name is given in both Georgian and Russian. The color scheme is neutral - white dominates with a colorful postcard-type drawing in the center.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: High. This pack is a specific regional edition from a small Soviet factory, and is therefore rarely found on the collector's market, especially intact. It also has historical value due to the changes in the political and cultural status of Abkhazia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, with original film. Minimal signs of age visible, but overall very good condition.
-
Historical data and popularity: Such packages were intended for local use in the resort regions of the Soviet Union. Due to the scale of local production, these packages were rare outside their region.
