Description:
„MC White is a modern aesthetic cigarette pack intended for Kosovo after the start of the United Nations administration in 1999. The design is minimalist, with a dominant silver color and black typographic elements. The main logo "MC" is highlighted in the center on a white background, and below it the inscription "white 20 filter cigarettes". In the upper part there is a coat of arms with the letters "AF" (logo of the Tobacco Factory Gjilan, founded in 1871). On the back side there is a text in two languages (Serbian and Albanian): "Pušenje je štetno za zdravlje" / "Duhani dëmton srednji srednji srednji". The green excise sticker on the pack with the inscription "INTERIM ADMINISTRATION OF KOSOVO" indicates that this copy was intended for sale to Kosovo during the United Nations administration (UNMIK).
Value assessment:
Collectible Value: Above average. This pack has historical significance as a relic from the post-war period in Kosovo, when the country was still administered by international institutions. Due to the limited quantity and short production run, packs with the UNMIK excise sticker are extremely rare. In addition, the design of the "MC" series is distinguished by industrial minimalism and well represents the revival phase of the Balkan tobacco industry.
Condition assessment: Unopened, original film, excellent condition, excise stamp preserved and clearly visible.
Historical data and popularity:
„The MC brand (Modern Cigarettes) was one of the attempts to create an international style product for the local market. After the introduction of UNMIK in 1999, Kosovo's tobacco production was limited, so these packs quickly became collectible. MC White was the lightest version of the line, alongside MC Red and MC Blue.
