„"Sopianae"“ – one of the most famous Hungarian cigarette brands, produced by Pécs Tobacco Factory (Pécs Tobacco Factory), which has been operating since 1912. This particular model – „Multifilter“ – belongs to the early period of the series, when the packaging was still soft, and the design was characterized by minimalist lines and symbolism.
The packaging stands out gold-colored paper with black diagonal lines, in the middle – Coat of arms of the city of Pécs with a crown and a blue shield, with a red band at the top. The reverse side shows a cigarette design on a red coat of arms background, and the side inscription indicates the manufacturer: Pécsi Dohanygyár, Magyarország.
This is a classic Hungarian tobacco industry a product that reflects the Eastern European design and technology aesthetics of the time. The name "Multifilter" refers to the double filtration system typical of higher quality cigarettes.
