„"VEK King Size"“ – cigarettes of Bulgarian origin, manufactured „Bulgartabac The group of companies was founded during the period when Bulgaria sought to expand its tobacco exports to Eastern and Central Europe. The name "VEK" (Bulgarian "век" - "century") symbolizes longevity and tradition.
The design is characterized by in a bright red geometric pattern, resembling a medal with a crown symbol in the center. The upper part depicts gold-colored "VEK" logo with a decorative frame, typical of Bulgarian design in the late 1980s. The color scheme – red, gold and white – conveys the prestige that was popular among local premium cigarettes at the time.
The information on the side of the package is in English ("20 Quality Cigarettes", "King Size"), so it was probably export permit, intended for international trade (especially the Eastern Bloc and the Middle East).
