Description:
„Pine Tree Filter Cigarettes“ – one of the rarer North Korean tobacco products, designed for export only, as indicated by the inscription on top Manufactured for Export. This is one of those cases where a state-owned factory (likely Pyongyang Tobacco Factory) produced cigarettes aimed at the Asian, Middle Eastern and African markets.
The packaging design is minimalist, with a red square with a white silhouette of a pine tree, symbolizing purity, strength and traditional value. The white background with small dots gives a subtle touch to the classic look. Inscription Pine Tree presented in gold letters, and at the bottom is indicated Filter Cigarettes and 20 Class A Cigarettes.
North Korea exported such packages in very limited quantities, making them extremely rare among collectors.
