„Monaco Cigarettes Filtre – an elegant and minimalist design pack clearly inspired by Principality of Monaco image.
At the center of the design is a large inscription resembling a metal plate MONACO with a red and white coat of arms at the bottom (the checkerboard pattern of the coat of arms of Monaco). At the top it says:
20 Cigarettes – Mélange “Goût Gitane”
it means "20 cigarettes - Gitane type blend", i.e. stronger French tobacco The taste is typical of the Gitane brand, but milder due to the filter.
This edition is for For the Western European market, but there are also export versions distributed in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean duty-free trade. The barcode on the back (3000 4526) indicates the late 1980s–1990s. period.
