Description:
This Lithuanian edition of Barclay Ultra Light, manufactured according to British American Tobacco license. The inscription on the package is visible „Actron Filter - Ultra Light American Blend“, referring to the technology that has made the brand known on the international market since the 1980s.
Written on the front side „"Tobacco is very harmful to health"“, and on the other side – „"Smoking causes cancer"“, both inscriptions are in Lithuanian, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Lithuania at that time.
The excise stamp with a denomination in litas indicates that the package was intended for the domestic market before the introduction of the euro.
The design is almost identical to the classic Barclay – a cream background, a burgundy stripe with the coat of arms and a subtle minimalist style. This is one of the last releases of this brand in the Baltic region.
Value assessment:
Collectible value: Average. Lithuanian editions, especially with early warning wording ("Tobacco is very harmful to health"), are becoming increasingly rare on the collector's market. Barclay is a luxury brand, so this pack is valuable from a regional perspective.
