Sam Poo Kong – one of the most interesting and visually distinctive in Indonesia kretek cigarette packs created to honor the legendary figure of the Chinese navigator Zheng He (known in local sources as Sam Poo Kong). The pack design combines a red-gold color scheme, symbolizing luck and origin, with Chinese calligraphic characters.
The upper part depicts the historical symbol of the Sam Poo Kong Temple - it is one of the most famous places in Semarang, where the manufacturer's own tobacco factory also operates.
The excise stamp with the price is clearly visible on the package. Rp. 3,500 and a note “12 Kretek Filter”, typical of small local producers who produced in limited quantities.
This is a type of cigarette that was often sold as a souvenir or local premium product with cultural significance.
