Description:
Classic Spanish-style packaging with a white background and expressive red lettering HAVANA. The lower part has a horizontal dark blue band with a gold border, above which the royal coat of arms is depicted. The authentic one at the top has survived. „Del Tabaco España“ An excise sticker indicating that the pack was officially sold in Spain. A warning in Spanish and the words "20 cigarillos" are visible on the side.
The design is elegant, clearly inspired by the image of Cuban tobacco ("Habanos" is the traditional synonym for Cuban cigars), but these cigarettes are made in Spain, partly using imported tobacco from Latin America.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Medium-high. Habanos cigarettes are not as widespread as Cuban cigar lines, so this pack is interesting as an example of a synthesis of Spanish tobacco history and the image of Cuba.
– Condition assessment: Very good - unopened, with original film and excise stamp intact, only minimal surface aging spots.
– Historical data and popularity: This brand was produced in the factories of the Spanish tobacco monopoly (Tabacalera Española), which had the exclusive right to manufacture and distribute tobacco products in the country from the 1940s to the 1990s. Habanos were positioned as a premium line product, with a mild, Cuban-style blend.
