Description:
This pack of „Азербайджан“ cigarettes is one of the classic Soviet regional editions, representing the tobacco production of the Azerbaijan SSR. The design is simple but distinctive: a white background, a blue vertical rectangle with an oriental arch, and at the bottom – the name is presented in both Cyrillic (АЗЕРБАЙДЖАН) and Azerbaijani transcription. On the left side of the pack it is indicated: „Сигареты с фильтром. Класс второй“ – this means that the product is classified as quality class II according to the USSR classification of that time. The solid type and little attention to detail in the design make the pack look exceptionally representative.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: High. Due to the solid package type and impeccable preservation (even without cellophane), this unit is highly valued. Regional USSR packages with a clear national affiliation are currently highly sought after by collectors.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, without cellophane, but visually in excellent condition. A solid package is a great advantage when evaluating storage and display.
-
Historical data and popularity: During the USSR, each republic had its own representative brands – „Azerbaijan“ was one of them. These packages are now witnesses of historical value.
