Description:
The Vega cigarette pack is one of the older examples of tobacco products from the socialist bloc. The design on a white background with an orange explosion symbol and Cyrillic inscriptions conveys the classic style of the late 20th century. The side inscription and the stamp indicate that this is a product intended for the domestic market, most likely Bulgaria or possibly exported to other socialist countries at the time. The name "Вега" (Vega) is both the name of a star and a sign of the space/technology influence of the USSR and Bulgaria. The pack is intact, but has light imprints and deformations on the sides.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: Average. Although Vega cigarettes are not as rare as some of those made in the USSR, they are still of interest to collectors due to their condition and socialist-era design.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, slight deformation in the upper part, sides slightly pressed, but no serious damage – good condition.
-
Historical data and popularity: Bulgaria had many tobacco factories at the time, and "Vega" was one of the better-known brands on the local market. Due to exports to the Eastern Bloc, these packets were more widespread in some countries, but have now become quite rare.
