Description: This cigarette pack was designed for the domestic market during the Azerbaijan SSR. The names "Гек-Гель" (Russian) and "Kəк-кəл" (Azerbaijani) refer to Goy-Gol, a famous lake and region in Azerbaijan. The pack features a calm color scheme: blue, beige and white with a decorative wave motif at the bottom, symbolizing water. The upper part has a warning about the harm of smoking on both sides in Russian and Azerbaijani, which was mandatory for domestic production at that time.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: High. This is one of the most striking examples of Soviet production, where two official languages are used on the packaging. Rare, with a clear regional identity, therefore valued by both SSR collectors and collectors of historical products from Azerbaijan.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, good condition - foil intact, some stains from aging, but structurally well preserved.
-
Historical data: This package was intended for the domestic market of Azerbaijan, not exported to the West, so on the international market - very rare.
