Description:
This Barclay Menthol A pack of cigarettes manufactured for the Lithuanian market, with the original Lithuanian excise stamp. The following inscription is clearly visible on the pack:
„"The Ministry of Health warns: TOBACCO IS VERY HARMFUL TO HEALTH"“
and on the other side:
„"Smoking is harmful to the health of those around you"“
This indicates that the package was intended for the Lithuanian domestic market before the European Union's standardization of warnings (introduced in 2005).
The design remains classic Barclay aesthetics – light background, horizontal green stripe with coat of arms and "B" monogram in the center.
On the side it says:
„British American Tobacco“
This indicates that the production was controlled by the BAT group, most likely BAT Lietuva or Neptūnas Tobacco.

-
Historical significance: Medium – this pack reflects the transition period when international manufacturers (BAT, Philip Morris, JT International) took over local production in Eastern Europe.
