Description:
This pack of Derby cigarettes is a mini-size (10 cigarettes) designed for the Argentine market. The pack is decorated with a red coat of arms motif with a gold print in the center, and the inscription "CIGARRILLOS RUBIOS" is printed at the bottom. At the top, the Argentine excise stamp with "Código N° 34" is visible, confirming official trade in the country. The design is quite classic, but retains a certain "royal" aesthetic due to the symbolism of the coat of arms and the red flag.

Value assessment:

  • Collectible value: Average. Due to its small size (10 cigarettes), local edition and preserved original condition, the pack may be of interest to niche collectors, especially those collecting products from South American markets. Derby is little known outside of Latin America, so the value is based on geography and quantity.

  • Condition assessment: Unopened, very good condition, film preserved and well-readable stamp. Sides clean, stamp intact.

  • Historical data and popularity: „Derby was one of the more affordable brands in Argentina and other parts of South America. The small packs were aimed at the more economical buyer, and their survival to this day is a rare occurrence, making them interesting as a historical fragment.
