Description:
„Haknuh Man is a rare and interesting type of Cambodian cigarette, whose name comes from a legendary character Hanuman – the monkey king from the Hindu epic Ramayana. The front of the packaging features a colorful dancing Hanuman holding a sword and wearing traditional Khmer costume, and the entire packaging is covered in a soft yellow-gold hue with vertical lines that mimic silk fabric.
There is an original Cambodian excise sticker on top, indicating that this is an official factory product. Inscription HAKNUH MAN is presented in both English and Khmer. The manufacturing company indicated on the side is Vinton Tobacco Co. Ltd., known for several other local brands such as Angkor whether Bayon.
This design is considered one of the most striking and culturally symbolic Cambodian packets – it combines mythological heritage with the local image of tobacco production.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: high – very rare Cambodian packaging with national motifs. Collectors value it for its mythological theme (Hanuman is extremely popular in Asian iconography).
– Condition assessment: ideal - original film, intact excise stamp.
– Historical data: Produced for the local market and limited export to neighboring regions, this package is therefore extremely rare outside of Cambodia.
