Description:
Juan Bastos "Depose" is a classic Belgian cigarette pack, featuring a distinctive blue design with gold ornaments and an antique font. It is a typical example of post-war European tobacco packaging, reflecting an elegant and luxurious image. The front of the pack features the decorative Bastos coat of arms, a crown and the inscription In depots, indicating a registered trademark.
The package is sealed with an original Belgian excise stamp with a classic type of perforation typical of the 1950s-1960s. The authentic appearance has been maintained with partially yellowed foil and a clearly visible Basta logo. Although the package is soft, the structure remains rigid, and the colors and printing are bright and preserved.

Value assessment:

  • Collectible value: High. This Juan Bastos Depose edition is one of the early versions of the classic Bastos series, produced in Belgium, before expanding to France and other European markets. The age of this edition and its excellent condition make it a sought-after example for collectors.

  • Condition assessment: Very good - the package is unopened, the original foil and excise tape are in place. Only slight signs of aging are noticeable on the plastic surface.

  • Historical data and popularity: The Basta brand was founded in the late 19th century and became one of the most famous European tobacco manufacturers. In the 1950s and 1960s, Basta cigarettes were exported to many countries, and this blue Depose edition is one of the rarer variants aimed at the higher-end segment.
