Description:
Lido "Triplo Filtro" - Italian cigarettes, produced during the period of state tobacco monopolies. Design - light background printed with vertical gray lines, large black inscription in the center LIDO and below it "TRIPLO FILTRO", and below it - a triple filter depicted in three red vertical stripes. Above - the sign WORKED TOBACCO, and on the upper edge - the original FISCAL MONOPOLY excise stamp.
The pack is intact, with the original film, the corners are sharp, the printing is high quality - a typical Italian tobacco design from the late 80s-early 10s.
Value assessment:
Collectible Value: Average. The Lido series was popular in Italy as a local brand, so packages preserved in their original condition are becoming increasingly rare. The Triplo Filtro (triple filter) version stands out due to its unusual design name and is a sought-after variant among collectors.
Condition assessment: Unopened, original film, excise stamp in place, very good condition.
Historical data and popularity: Lido was owned by the Italian state tobacco monopoly (ETI – Ente Tabacchi Italiani) until it was taken over by British American Tobacco in 2000. As a result, the early ETI ROMA packets have additional historical significance.
