Description:
This is another very interesting one. „"What is Transglobe?"“ series pack from an early L&M travel-themed campaign. This edition is for the character João and the city of Brasilia Salvador de Bahia – one of the most striking exotic motifs in the series.
The front of the package has a bright red background with L&M Transglobe with a logo at the top and a tropical motif: palm trees, colonial-style buildings and southern lighting.
Next to it is an inscription „João / Salvador de Bahia“, conveying the spirit of Latin America.
On the left side is the classic L&M Red Label logo.
At the back – continued „"COMING SOON..."“ line aesthetics, with famous world buildings (Empire State Building, Berlin TV Tower, Arc de Triomphe, etc.) symbolizing the upcoming trips of the Transglobe series.
Above – Lithuanian excise stamp 0.75 LTL (PMG DRB 412917).
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: High. "What is Transglobe?" series Red Label Salvador de Bahia there is one rarer versions, as this edition was a short-lived one and was only produced in selected Baltic markets. Due to its bright red design and exotic thematic motif, it is highly prized among L&M Transglobe collectors.
– Condition assessment: Excellent - cellophane intact, excise sticker intact.
– Historical data: This permission is considered the last package of the "What is Transglobe?" cycle before moving on to the "The Journey Is in You" campaign (2008). It is therefore important as a symbol of the transition from experimental to official global design.
