Description:
This version of Lucky Strike Original Red stands out with a very aggressive graphic solution - a fragmented word in large letters on the front side LUCKY STRIKE, which at first glance looks like an abstract geometric pattern.
A subtle inscription at the top “ORIGINAL RED”, and below - “"CIGARETTES - 20 CIGARRILLOS RUBIOS"”.
The lateral surface is marked with the usual inscription “Nobleza Piccardo”, and in the upper part is visible excise sticker "Código Nº 1 - CIGARRILLOS"„ with a note IMP. INT. LEY 24.674 and with a clear Argentine stamp.
On the back side – classic “"ORIGINAL SMOKE - Lucky Strike - EST. 1871"” design.
The design features a sharper contrast of red and black compared to previous versions, making this pack considered the last local design update before the unification of BAT's visual identity (after 2007).
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: High - A rare transitional edition, noticeably different from previous Original Red designs, and therefore considered a separate variant type by collectors.
– Condition assessment: Ideal – cellophane is intact, sticker is clear, colors are intense, no oxidation.
– Historical significance: Represents the last phase of Argentine production, when local editions of Lucky Strike still had a unique visual language, before moving to global packaging designs.
