Description:
This is a rare Lucky Strike regional edition with the title Original Recipe, which was used in some South American markets as an alternative to the classic Toasted or Blend series. The pack is made according to British American Tobacco (BAT) license for local distribution in Paraguay.
The design is minimalist and elegant - a white background with a subtle red top line and clean lettering ORIGINAL RED. In the center is a large Lucky Strike logo with the inscription in the center Original Recipe framed in an amber ring symbolizing roasted tobacco. The name „Recipe“ refers to the „authentic“ production process with which the brand sought to emphasize its historical roots.
On the left side is visible British American Tobacco licensing information, and on top - greenish Paraguayan excise stamp (Código N°34 – Cigarillos). On the back is a standard Spanish warning: Smoking is detrimental to health (Ley N° 23.344).
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: high. This edition is rarer than the "Original Toasted" or "Original Blend" versions, as the "Original Recipe" name was only used for a short time in some regions of South America. Such name differences are considered "microvariations" in the collector's market, which gives the copy additional value.
– Condition assessment: ideal – the film is undamaged, the excise stamp is neat, the surface is clean.
– Historical significance: This pack marks BAT's experimental period, when the company tried to differentiate itself through regional marketing, combining local names with international design.
