„Maghreb is one of the classic Moroccan cigarette brands produced by the national tobacco company. Moroccan Tobacco Board. The packaging design is minimalist, typical of the visual style of the Maghreb region: bright blue dominates with a metallic silver triangular motif.
A large stylized sign is clearly visible at the front of the road. M a logo symbolizing both the word Maghreb (Arabic: المغرب - "west"), as well as the brand name. Above is a blue excise sticker with the symbol of royal authority, indicating an official state-licensed product.
On the left side, the inscription "FILTRE – VENTE AU MAROC" confirms that these cigarettes were intended only for the local Moroccan market. The pack design is bilingual - in Arabic and French, which was common for all Moroccan products of that period.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: very good – Maghreb Series packaging from Morocco is quite rare outside of North Africa. Those that have survived with the excise stamp and factory film intact are especially valuable.
– Condition assessment: ideal - new, sealed, perfectly preserved.
– Historical data: This brand was one of the national brand names of the Régie des Tabacs, produced before the company was privatized, when it was taken over by Altadis.
