Description:
Exceptional and unusual Marlboro / Boro The pack is one of the most sought-after Argentine editions by collectors due to its paradoxical design. One side of the pack presents a minimalist version with a large "boro" inscription and the word Cigarettes bottom, done in a clean modern font. The other side is a classic Marlboro Filter Box design with a recognizable red-and-white triangle, the "PM" emblem and a red top.
This dual package design was a marketing experiment - the manufacturer (Philip Morris Argentina) tried a simplified visual image, in which "boro" was a modern abbreviation for the Marlboro product line.
On top is a blue Argentine excise stamp marked "Código Nº 11", confirming local production and distribution.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Taller. This is one of the rarer "experimental" packs from South America, featuring an atypical dual-branded design. Such editions are highly prized among collectors of the Philip Morris / Marlboro line.
– Condition assessment: Excellent - unopened, cellophane intact, corners not crushed, stamp intact.
– Historical data and popularity: „Boro was a short-lived attempt to create a minimalist sub-brand for Marlboro, aimed at a more modern, urban consumer. Due to its limited production, this edition is now considered a particularly interesting marketing experiment and has clear collector's value in the tobacciana segment.
