Description:
This NEON a pack of cigarettes issued by a local manufacturer, marked with the inscription “Argentine Work” ("Argentine work") - a typical national product labeling of the time.
The design is modern, clearly focused on the young consumer market. The front part is an intense blue color with a metallic texture effect, the top is bright red, and the logo NEON written in a futuristic font, with a triangular symbol resembling a beam of light or a laser point.
There is an original excise sticker on top. „"Código Nº 5 - CIGARRILLOS"“, and on the side is a warning “"El fumar es prejudicial para la salud - Ley Nº 23.344"”. The square Trabajo Argentino logo is also visible on the left side, confirming that the product is manufactured in a local industry.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Average but rising – this brand was short-lived, so the number of surviving examples is dwindling. Collectors see NEON as an interesting attempt by Argentina to create a 21st century style local product.
– Condition assessment: Excellent - the cellophane is completely intact, the excise sticker is intact, the corners are sharp.
– Historical significance: It is one of the last independent cigarette brands made in Argentina before the BAT/PMI market consolidation.
