Description:
This Ziggy American Blend a pack of cigarettes released for the Spanish market, as indicated by the blue excise sticker with the inscription „"IMPUESTO SOBRE LAS LABORES DEL TABACO - ESPAÑA"“.
The packaging design is distinguished by a bright red background, a "Rasta" color palette (red-yellow-green), and a stylized reflection of Afro music culture - the center features an image of a famous Rastafarian-style musician.
This release was part of a niche Spanish tobacco market of products aimed at a youthful consumer segment, inspired by reggae culture and Bob Marley image.
Warnings in Spanish are clearly visible on the front and back:

  • „"Fumar puede matar" ("Smoking can kill"),

  • „"Smoke contains benzene, nitrosamines, formaldehyde and hydrogen cyanide.".

The package is original, unopened, with sealed foil and preserved bright printing.

Value assessment:

  • Collectible value: Average. Ziggy is not a well-known international manufacturer, but its distinctive reggae design and connection to a cultural era (the Spanish tobacco market of the early 2000s) make this pack sought after by thematic collectors.

  • Condition assessment: Excellent - unopened, cellophane still in place, colors still vibrant.

  • Historical significance: Ziggy was one of the smaller brands that tried to stand out from the mass tobacco market by using bright, musical culture motifs. Since the production of these packs was short-lived, the original copies survived in small quantities.
