„The Artsakh cigarette pack is one of the most symbolic regional releases of the USSR, imbued with the visuals of Armenian culture and identity. The main design element is a yellow-brown background, on which the famous Karabakh monument “We are our mountains„ (“Мэнк эн мер мэлэлээ„) is depicted, which has become a symbol of national identity. The name is presented in two languages – Armenian (Ացառան) and Russian (Арцах), in a modern, slightly curved font. The upper part indicates the classification “Сигареты с фильтром. Класс четвёртый„, which indicates medium-strength filter cigarettes. The pack is covered with silver foil and sealed with factory cellophane film with a red protective border – a detail typical of the production of the late USSR period.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Higher. Regional issue from Nagorno-Karabakh with a distinctive national motif. Such a package is rare, especially in excellent condition with intact cellophane, and is therefore highly valued among Armenian and USSR tobacciana collectors.
