„"Bastos" is one of the oldest Belgian cigarette brands, founded in the late 19th century (around 1900) in Belgium, and later included in SEITA (French tobacco monopoly) structure. This particular edition – „Bastos De Luxe - Légères“, i.e. a "light" version package intended for the Western European market (especially France and Belgium).
Classic red and white design with the gold "BASTOS" logo in the center and the blue "Légères" inscription at the bottom symbolizes a milder tobacco blend.
The coat of arms with a crown and a knight's shield indicates the upper class ("De Luxe") segment.
This is one of Basta's last classic releases. before switching to modernized packaging with big warnings after the beginning of 1990.
Value assessment:
Collectible value: Medium-high among Western European packages. "Bastos" are not particularly rare, but this one De Luxe Légères The variant with the cellophane still intact and the clean surface is prized by collectors, especially in the Belgian and French markets.
Condition assessment: Unopened, cellophane wrapped, excellent condition – no deformation, bright colors.
