Description:
Simple yet harmonious design – warm brown background, horizontal white stripe in the middle with the inscription DORADAS in white embossed letters.
At the bottom there is a logo with with the symbol of a tobacco leaf and text TOBACCO FILTER.
On the side - a typical warning “"El fumar es harmful para la salud"” and “SOLO FOR ADULTS”.
Above – Argentine excise sticker with blue print “"Código Nº 5 - CIGARRILLOS"” and I record IMP. INT. LEY 24.674.
The inscription "INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA" indicates local production, and the minimalist design is reminiscent of the "cheap but reliable" tobacco product lines of the late 1980s.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Average, but due to the increasingly rare survival of local Argentine brands. Dorados has gradually become a collector's item, especially from South American markets.
– Condition assessment: Very good - cellophane intact, sticker intact, minimal surface stains do not reduce value.
– Historical significance: Reflects a period when local Argentine manufacturers were still trying to compete with the Philip Morris and Nobleza Piccardo groups.
