Description:
TRUE was an American cigarette brand that stood out from its competitors by its advertising emphasis on its special Triple Air Filtration System, which was also depicted on the back of the pack with a schematic drawing. It was an attempt to attract attention to the "healthier" smoking of the period. The design is typical of the 1980s aesthetic - a simple, white background, a graphically strong logo and a blue circle with a three-dimensional symbol.
Value assessment:
-
Collectible value: Medium-High. TRUE is a relatively rare mark in the modern collectible market, especially since it no longer exists on the market. The technical design (filter scheme) makes the pack visually and historically interesting.
-
Condition assessment: Unopened, cellophane still intact, but there is some wear on the surface noticeable age spots and color defects, especially at the bottom and back of the package. Condition – satisfactory (collectible, but not ideal).
-
Historical data and popularity:
TRUE was a product of the Liggett Group, which became popular in the 1970s and 1980s as a light cigarette with an innovative filter. The brand was later discontinued, so surviving original packs are becoming increasingly rare.
