„TRUE Menthol 100's is one of the most advanced products in the US light segment, famous for its unusual filter design. First introduced in 1966, these cigarettes were distinguished by special air intake filter, which reduced the amount of tar in the smoke, and was therefore advertised as „"Tastes great, ultra low tar"“.
The design is extremely modern and restrained: metallic silver background, minimalist horizontal lines at the bottom, and a green geometric logo in the center (a stylized letter "T" in a circle). Green stripes at the top frame the name TRUE, which is presented in clear, straightforward font. This packet is the menthol version, which is marked with the word MENTHOL under the logo.
The sides of the package bear the Surgeon General's Warning, as well as the Lorillard manufacturer's address - elements common to all packages intended for the US market from this period.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: medium-high. The True brand disappeared from the market in the early 21st century, so these packs are valuable as an example of the technological history of the tobacco industry. The menthol versions are rarer than the classic ones, and therefore more valuable.
– Condition assessment: very good. The original film is intact, the surface is clean, the silver metallized layer shines evenly.
