Description:
„"Türkü Filtreli" is an authentic Turkish cigarette brand, created to maintain a local tobacco identity in a country long dominated by a state-owned company Tekel. The package features a minimalist yet distinctive design – a light cream background with with a large red and blue ornament, reminiscent of traditional Anatolian writings, symbolizing cultural heritage.
The subtle one seen above golden tobacco leaf symbol and the inscription “FILTER” ("with filter"). The bottom part says:
“"Tamamen Anadolu'dan, dünyaca famous Türk tübükleri"” – „"Only from Anatolia, world famous Turkish tobaccos.".
Above – original Turkish TAPDK excise sticker (yellow with a blue stripe), confirming the authentic origin of the early 2000s. On the side - an inscription “"18 years old küçüklere satılamaz"” ("Not for sale to persons under 18 years of age"), barcode and manufacturer information.
The original film still in the package – brand new, untouched copy.
Value assessment:
– Collectible value: Medium-high: Turkish local brands such as Türkü are becoming increasingly rare following the privatization of Tekel in 2008 and the dominance of foreign producers.
– Condition assessment: Ideal (mint condition) – undamaged film, bright print elements, clear TAPDK sticker.
– Historical significance: „Türkü reflects a transitional period when the Turkish tobacco market was still focused on national production. It is one of the last examples of cigarettes of exclusively Turkish design and origin.
